I wouldn't stop my treatments at this point, besides the fact that I've paid for eight treatments, I am still not as hair free as I would like to be.  However, I am satisfied with the results thus far.  My upper lip has a slight improvement.  My underarms have over 50% reduction in hair growth, and my bikini area is completely manageable.

The hair reduction in my bikini area is a little weird, what I mean by this is there are large portions of hair gone, but the 'happy trail' is completely covered with hair.  I attempted to show this in the pictures, without revealing too much.  The pictures show a lot of hair, but this hair is concentrated to the center strip.  The areas around the outer edged of my bikini area are completely hair free!  -- I can wear a skimpy bikini without having to shave!  -- This strip may be partially my fault.  I asked for a small strip to be left alone for one of my appointments.  I had thought I might like a little bit of hair there.  Anyways, this means that strip, which is growing more than the other areas, has only been treated three times instead of four.

The area in my bikini area near the lips has also not responded as well to the laser hair removal treatments.  This area has also only been treated 3 times because during the first treatment the nurse suggested I wait until I had the numbing cream to treat that area.  I hope that this area eventually responds well to the treatment, because I find the hair there very uncomfortable.  I am concerned that I will not have as good of results in this area of my bikini area because the skin is a little darker, but I'll just have to wait and see.

My underarms have had the most visible reduction.  If you click on the picture to the right, you will see the enlarged photo of my underarms.  This larger picture clearly shows lots of hair free space in between a few long hairs.  I don't have to shave my underarms everyday!  I think I shave them every three or four days, but I'm not really sure, I quit keeping track of it because they are so soft I don't even think about it anymore.

The only area I am disappointed in is my upper lip.  I am still hopeful, but I just wish the results would be more apparent now!  Several people have told me that I will not have good results with laser hair removal on my upper lip, but just as many have told me that I would.  So I'm not really sure what to believe.  The good news is -- I can shave my upper lip and it takes about a week before the hairs are noticeable.  This is great for me because hair removal creams and waxing just didn't work.

I am back in the country and plan on continuing my laser hair removal treatments in a few weeks.  Once I have my first appointment I will post my results on a regular basis, just like before I took my break.

Overall, I am happy with the results and I am glad I took a 6 month break from the laser treatments because it gave me a chance to really see the long term effect of the laser hair removal.
