Ninth Laser Hair Removal Treatment
So a fire 14 feet in diameter would have a farther reach than one only 10 feet in diameter. Since the hair follicles are deep within the skin you need the largest spot size you can handle (without burning) to zap and kill those deep follicles. I think this is why my upper lip hasn’t had as great results. Everything else in the appointment was the same as the other eight treatments. It hurt – bad. My upper lip didn’t get too red, my underarms were sun burnt red, and my bikini area looked blistered. As soon as I applied aloe the redness started to fade. I took the pictures as soon as I got home, which was about 30 minutes after my laser hair removal treatment. I was surprised to hear that I could use my numbing cream on my underarms, upper-lip and bikini area. I had been told that I could only use in on my bikini area. This was around the time that a girl had used it on her whole body and had a bad reaction which caused her to die. So, I’m still a little nervous about using it in more than just my bikini area. The numbing cream really helps control the pain. I highly recommend everyone use it, just not all over.
3 Weeks Later, May 4, 2008 It has been almost three weeks since my 9th laser hair removal treatment and everything is normal. I have a few pepperspots in my bikini area, but my underarms and upper lip look fine. There is a little hair in the peri-anal area and deep in the bikini line, which surprises me because the technician was very thorough at zapping every area. The important thing is that my upper lip is completely smooth! I was surprised to see pepperspots in my inner thighs. I thought all of those hairs had quit growing. I never have to worry before I wear even the smallest bikini, so I was shocked to see little black dots outside my bikini line. Now they have disappeared; it was just over a week after the appointment that I had noticed them. Hopefully, I’ll see great results from this appointment, because I am really tired of going back to Ideal Image.
Hair Growth, Again, May 28, 2008 There are lots of short dark hairs growing on my upper lip. I shaved about two weeks ago, because the hair was bothering me. I don’t see laser hair removal as an effective solution for my upper lip. I guess it does make the hair less noticeable, but I have a feeling it is temporary and next year I’ll have the same little mustache that has been plaguing me since I was a teenager. On a positive note, my underarms are nearly hair free. I haven’t shaved them since my last appointment. There are a dozen hairs under each arm that are about a quarter of an inch long. I wouldn’t be upset if this was how my underarms always looked. I don’t need to shave, but if I decided to shave it would be very easy. There aren’t any hairs on my upper bikini area. The deep bikini zone has some soft light colored hairs growing, and the peri-anal area has a lot of hair growth. Overall I’m happy with the results of laser hair removal in my bikini area. My next appointment isn’t until July, so I’ve been enjoying the sun. I know I really shouldn’t, but I’ve been told that as long as I’m sun free for four weeks before my appointment I’ll be fine. I’m not really tan or anything; I’ve just allowed myself to enjoy an occasional dip in the pool without a hat.
