Immediately After Third Treatment 9-5-06

 

There was a lot of redness after my third laser hair removal treatment.  The setting on the GentleLase laser were increased from 10 J to 12 J.  The procedure was much more painful than the previous two treatments, and it left my skin red and tender.  Immediately after the treatment I applied aloe which stopped the pain and reduced the redness.  The redness on my upper lip did not last long.  After applying the aloe the redness was not visible, but it did reappear in a few hours.  When it reappeared it was only one spot (dime sized) which was red in color.

Bikini Area

As you can see in the pictures my bikini area was red all over.  The redness lasted for about 24 hours.

The redness above my lip has faded.

There were patches of redness in my underarms.  Also you could see more redness at each pore with visible hair.

The bikini area still had a lot of redness.

Hair Shedding 9-10-06

Upper Lip

 A lot of the hair on my upper lip has shed.
 

Some of the hair in my underarm area has shed, but most of it is still there.

Very little of the hair in my bikini area has shed.  Most of it has broken off at the skin surface.
 

Smooth Skin 9-24-06

Upper Lip

My upper lip looks smooth, much like after waxing.
 

My underarms are also very smooth.  I have not shaved them since my third laser treatment.

My bikini area is somewhat smooth, but covered in pepperspots.  Most of the pepperspots are around the edges of the bikini area.  Also, there are several hairs that did not respond to the treatment near the lips.

Upper Lip

My upper lip looks smooth, but has blond hairs you can see if you click on a picture to enlarge it.
 

My underarms have a few dark hairs.  I have not shaved them since my third laser treatment.

My bikini area also has a few random dark hairs.  It is also covered with pepperspots.
